Innis&Gunn Original

Original

Innis & Gunn, Edinburgh, Scotland - Oak Aged Beer
Wednesday 22 February 2012 – 6.6%Alc./Vol.    100 / 100
Initial Thoughts
Amazing packaging. Clear, proprietary glass. A big no-no for the beer snob set but... metallic touches and a highly refined finish perfectly showcase the honey hued elixir contained within.
First Sip
The best nose in beer. Sweet smelling, with a mouthful of incredible flavours combining to win over even non-beer-drinkers.
Halfway Through
This is simply an amazing beer! Darker than average and with a taste profile rivalling the complexity of a sub-atomic physics lecture, it has all the makings of an intimidating brew. But, don’t be fooled... it is very, very easy to drink.
Bottoms Up
The clear glass might cost it a point or two in the minds of hard-core beer aficionados, but truth be told, it does look terrific, and with the orgiastic fluid of deliciousness showcased inside, it won’t have to stay long in the bottle... Oak-aged. Brilliant! Top marks.
